Hey friends!

Like most of the Riders soundtracks, this has a heavy electronic feel to it. Some of those high synths do some cool things, and the string lines add a neat little vibe to it. As well as the piano! Those arpeggios add sort of a lightness to the mix. The whole thing is light, without a huge bass presence. The transition into the second section is nice, and I really like the melody and chords that are going on, and the groove stays steady throughout. The techno sounds jostle the tonal center a little bit, but I believe it’s all for a really cool effect. From what I’ve seen of the stage, it really suits it!

How’s everyone doing?

This track is a big favorite of mine! It’s a staple in a lot of my jazz streams—I just really like the vibe to it! I like the horn kicks, really crisp and clean throughout. There’s a lot of cool percussion work going on, from the feel and fills at the top, to when it breaks down into a hip swing during the bridge type section. The piano is also very nice, with just the right kinds of fills and comping; a good balance! The harmon muted trumpet soloing is a beautiful touch too! I love how the groove escalates and escalates, going from the simple beat, to the swing, to an intense shuffle, and then back down very seamlessly! It’s really great!

Hello, everyone!

Back In Time is one of my favorites! I really like the synth line that it starts out with, it’s a very whimsical sound combined with the heavy dance groove. The chorus is one of my favorite parts—I think there are some really nice harmonies that can be found in the lines, and I usually always sing along with them (or make them up)! And the melody itself is really lilting and smooth. It has a really infectious beat to it, with a strong synth piano in the back and just an overall solid groove and progression! There are also a bunch of small modulations that keep things happening in your ears. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for the praise! Doubling up today!

I really like the bass action going on in this track, as it serves to propel everything forward, serving as a melody in and of itself. The intro has a completely different vibe from the rest of the track, with conflicting rhythms between the drums and the melody, but it serves for a cool effect! I like how the melody line has bends and lines built into it, kinda swinging all around—it makes the whole thing really hip! This is a cool piece of chiptune work!
